The SMPS power supply integrated in each of these amplifier circuits ensures high efficiency and synchronous rectifier control on the main output rails. In simple English, heres what Class D amplification is about: an input analog signal is modulated into a series of pulses (think of FM or AM signals). The control is based on a self-oscillating loop controlled by phase shift, taking into account the feedback at the output of the loudspeaker. They are characterized by a flat frequency response regardless of impedance, almost totally frequency independent distortion, very low EMI radiation and a very low noise level.
